Concept — Studio Lagon

The practice treatment room, a made-up table, wooden wall bars and morning light.

A session

45 minutes, one person across from you

If you have never seen a physical therapist, here is exactly what happens. Nothing more, nothing less.

45min

  1. Before

    You arrive five minutes early

A quiet waiting room, six seats, no television. We take your carte Vitale and prescription once, on your first visit, and never again.

  2. 0 – 10 min

    We talk

What hurts, since when, what you can no longer do. We look at the prescription, the imaging and the report if you have them. This is the part that decides everything else.

  3. 10 – 40 min

    The work

Manual work, mobilization, active exercise depending on the case. You stay dressed unless the area being treated makes that impractical. You can say stop at any moment, and we stop.

  4. 40 – 45 min

    Before you leave

Two or three exercises to do at home, written on a sheet you take with you. The next appointment is set right there, not by phone a week later.

A 60 m² room, one patient at a time per therapist. Nobody is pedaling in the corner while we work with someone else.

Our care

Three areas, and nothing else

Electrostimulation pads on a knee, the leg supported by the therapist.

01

Sports & tendons

Shoulder, knee, ankle. A staged return to play.

What we see most

Achilles tendinopathy, swimmer's shoulder, ankle sprain, patellofemoral pain, coming back from a muscle tear.

How it runs

A full assessment in the first session: range, strength, pain, the sporting movement itself. Then work in three stages, offload, then strengthen, then return to play, with written criteria for moving from one stage to the next.

How many sessions

Usually 8 to 15, twice a week at first, then once. The pace is decided with you and revisited at every assessment.

Hand work on rehabilitation putty, the movement guided by the therapist.

02

Post-op

Protocols run with your surgeon, from day two.

What we see most

Knee ligament reconstruction, hip or knee replacement, rotator cuff repair, hand surgery, an immobilized fracture.

How it runs

We read the operative report before your first session. The surgeon's instructions are the rule: permitted range, weight bearing, timelines. If anything looks off, we write to the surgeon before going further.

How many sessions

The number comes from the prescription, then gets revisited with the surgeon at each stage. We always tell you where you are in the protocol.

Shoulder and arm mobilization, the patient lying on the treatment table.

03

Posture & back

Full assessment, exercises to do at home.

What we see most

Low back pain, neck pain, desk-related pain, post-pregnancy recovery, adolescent scoliosis.

How it runs

One long assessment session to understand what your back does all day, at the desk and behind the wheel. Then active work here and a short program, six minutes, to hold at home.

How many sessions

Usually 6 to 10, then a check-in at three months if you want one. The home program counts as much as the session does.

04

A practice that does three things properly rather than everything, more or less. If your case is not on this page, say so on the phone and we will point you to the right colleague.

To be clear

What we do not do

  • We do not diagnose. That is your doctor's work, and we work from what your doctor wrote.
  • We do not put a date on recovery. Nobody can do that honestly, and we are not going to start.
  • We never treat two patients at once. One therapist, one patient, forty-five minutes.
  • We do not add surcharges, not on Saturdays, not for an assessment, not for a printed exercise sheet.

Pricing & coverage

The price is the same for everyone

Posted here, posted at the practice, identical on Saturdays. Being clear about the price saves half the phone calls.

35 €per 45-minute session

Standard rates

We bill at the rates set by the French health system. No surcharge, nothing extra on Saturdays, no separate assessment fee.

Direct billing

We front the share covered by French health insurance. With most supplementary plans, you pay nothing on the spot; otherwise you cover the remainder and your plan reimburses you.

What to bring

  • A prescription from your doctor or surgeon
  • Your carte Vitale, up to date
  • Your supplementary insurance card
  • Imaging or surgical reports, if you have them
  • Clothes you can move in

If you have no prescription

Call before you book. We will tell you in two minutes whether you need to see your doctor first. We take cards, cash and checks, and we print an invoice on request.

The team

Two therapists, one practice

You see the same person from your first session to your last. If one of us is away, we offer you another date rather than handing you to the other without asking.

Camille Estève

State-licensed physical therapist

Trained in Bordeaux, class of 2013, in Marigot since 2018. Manual therapy and sports rehabilitation. Works with two sailing clubs in the bay on weekends, which helps when a patient says they just want to get back on the water.

Nathan Brissac

State-licensed physical therapist

Trained in Nantes, class of 2016. Post-op rehabilitation and back work. Continuing education in return-to-sport conditioning in 2024. He is the one who reads the operative reports and writes to the surgeons.

Appointments

When can you come in

When something hurts, the first question is not how to book, it is when. Here is what is left this week.

This week

Tomorrow, Thursday9:15 a.m. · 2 p.m. · 5:30 p.m.

Friday8:30 a.m. · 11 a.m. · 4:45 p.m.

Saturday10 a.m. · 11:45 a.m.

The wait, without dressing it up

Three days on average for a first appointment, two days coming out of surgery. The 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. slots go first, so ask early in the week if you work.

If it is urgent

Sharp pain, a weekend injury, a hospital discharge: call and say so in your first sentence. Two slots are held every day for exactly that. If your situation calls for a doctor or the emergency room, we will tell you on the phone rather than have you come in.

Three ways to book

Book an appointment

The button calls the practice. Nothing is booked online: we would rather hear you describe the pain before putting you in the calendar.
